Android & iPhone Clients for SoftEther That Support HTTPS

Post by mpfrench » Fri Jan 23, 2026 5:08 pm

The SoftEther HTTPS cuts through firewalls like a hot knife through butter. Do an Android & iPhone clients exist that use HTTPS? If not, is anyone developing them? These cell phone clients would be extremely useful.

"SSTP Connect", "Open SSTP Client" and a newcomer, semi-commercial "ObfusGated VPN".

The firewall I'm trying to penetrate will pass only HTTP and HTTPS on the standard TCP ports 80 and 443, respectively. I tried using an SSTP client on a cell phone but the firewall blocked it.

It appears that the only solution is for someone to develop a cell phone app that uses HTTPS to communicate with SoftEther. This project would be wonderful for a grad student.

The solution is already there,

https://apps.apple.com/us/app/sstp-connect/id1543667909

https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... ittoku.osc

https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... sgated.vpn

and advanced developers are even trying to implement more advanced version of them like sharing VPN over mobile hotspot & hosting a SoftEther VPN server in mobile eSIM
