Hi
I have installed softether VPN server on a virtual machine running Ubuntu 16 and NATed a public IP to this VM. the problem is when I connect to the VPN server, I can ping other hosts with the same IP range but I cannot use ssh or RDP to connect to them, for ssh I get connection refused error. the only server machine which I can ssh to is the VPN server itself.
How can I fix this?

It's a limitation of Linux.

Please try add tap mode local bridge or attach to another eth interface to same segment.
