Server-Client connection

I have the VPN server installed on my clients server (Windows server 2016) on subnet 10.0.x.x
vpn client installed on company laptops which will be used at home.

I can connect to the virtual hub on the server with no issue. I can ping every device on the 10.0.x.x network except for the server's which is specifically 10.0.x.2. Neither can the server ping the connected client.

What I have noticed is that this only happens for computers which were already connected to the servers domain. I have tried with 6 other computers not linked to the domain and was able to connect and ping the server just fine.
Yes I have tried removing them off the domain, renaming the system and that didn't make a difference.

Does anyone have any idea what the issue might be.
