Can't connect to SoftEther VPN Server(RaspberryPi)on Iphone

Post by Joey_Wu » Fri May 12, 2017 8:23 pm

I use SoftEther to established a VPN server no my RaspberryPi. The result of ./vpncmd 3 check shows everything works well.
I use SoftEther VPN client on Windows computer to connect my VPN Server, and the connection is established SUCCESSFULLY.
However, when I try connection on my iPhone through Ipsec/L2TP all the connections are denied, saying "no response from server or can't establish connection to PPP server"
The following is my configuration:
For Raspberry Pi, its IP is 192.168.0.217, I open its 443,992,5555,1194 plus 1701,500,4500 ports on SoftEther Server.
For WIFI Router, I assign the static IP (192.168.0.217) to Raspberry PI, and I also add following port mapping rule:
1701,500,4500,443 to Raspberry Pi's 443
Then, on my iPhone, I input server's address(192.168.0.217) and other information needed correctly, but the connection is still failed. This is part of the log downloaded from my Raspberry Pi.

2017-05-11,23:18:04.674,SID-USER1-[L2TP]-14,-,CAA012F22D77,FFFFFFFFFFFF,0x0800,338,DHCPv4,Request,0.0.0.0,bootpc(68),255.255.255.255,bootps(67),-,-,TransactionId=3081289274 ClientIP=0.0.0.0 YourIP=0.0.0.0 ServerIP=0.0.0.0 RelayIP=0.0.0.0,-,192.168.0.227,-

192.168.0.227 is my iPhone's IP address in local network. It's seems that the server can receive the request from my iPhone but there is no response. Does anyone know how to solve this problem? Thank you in advance for any suggestion.

The problem is solved. Don't forget to turn on Virtual DHCP/NAT service on VPN Sever Manager. Hope this post will be helpful for those who meet the same problem.
