No connection

Post by LambdaEnt » Tue Jul 07, 2020 7:26 pm

I am an IT consultant but new to SoftEther. I have setup the server on a remote Windows 10 machine. I can not connect from my home Mac. I have tried connecting via the softether and azure DDNS, as well as directly to the IP.

Attached are screen shots.

Thank you!

Based on the images you posted I'm assuming you want to connect using L2tp/ IPsec. If so you will need to open/forward UDP ports 500 & 4500 to the SoftEther server Host (Win10 Machine) local IP address.

Hello,
I also have problem with connection and maybe you can help me as well, since installing some MS updates I cannot connect to VPNs using the Win10 built in client. OpenVPN, forticlient and nortel all work ok though.

A ping to a.root-servers.net which is successful and the connect screen showing that my connection to vodafone is up but the VPN Icons still show not available like I'm offline.
