how to support radius on opensource version?
hi, everyone
I have used SoftEther for a while. it is really great!
now, I am configuring SoftEther with Radius authentication。 but when i created users for Radius authenciation, it always failed with one nontication, "Radius is not avaliable for opensource version."
if radius is only supported for commercial version, who is the right person to make the deal?
Thank you very much.

Great question, but I tought the commercial version of softether was pre-opensource.
Maybe ask the devs on the softether's dev team github to be sure

Based on what I know, there is no commercial version of SoftEther VPN and all traces of PacketIX VPN server (the old commercial software SE is from) is basically gone. All that is left is the "Opensource" version. If anything I would make sure that your server configuration is correct and that you are using a more recent version of SoftEther VPN server and not the older SoftEther-Stable since that version may still be missing some of the commercial features.

I got the binary from https://www.softether-download.com/cn.aspx. and the server info page says version 4.34 Build 9745, compiled 2020/04/05 23:20:52, and it is SoftEther VPN server (64bit) (opensource).
which version are you using?

I found the famous remark by the author, Daiyuu Nobori. As a programmer, I handled it.
Thanks a lot to Daiyuu Nobori, and every one.

@xiaowei.zhang Also meet the same question.
When I try to setup radius on my new setup softether vpn server(softether-vpnserver-v4.34-9745-rtm-2020.04.05-linux-x64-64bit.tar.gz).
an error occurs:
ERR_147 This feature is not supported. It hasn't been implemented yet on the open-source version of SoftEther VPN.
So, my question is what you have found as you talked: famous remark by the author, Daiyuu Nobor
Could you give a link or some hints about how to resolve the problem?
Any feedback and hints is very appreciated.

Re: how to support radius on opensource version?
How strange. I did a test (using the GUI) and it did not seem to have an issue. Although I do not have a real Radius Server I did use a fake one for the config and was able to set RADIUS authentication for the user I created. I believe there may be an issue with either your server version, the server manager, or with your server config which may definitely be it if you upgraded from an older version.

SoftEther server running on Windows Server and it works just fine. Perhaps you are running SoftEther on Linux?

I did my "test" on Linux without an issue. I was going to suggest it was aa bug on the Windows version or his version of SE server manager.
