Unable to connect to Server from Android Device

Post by yondu » Sun May 12, 2019 11:39 am

My SoftEther VPN Server is running on Windows Home Server 16 and accessible from a Windows 10 Client via SoftEther VPN Client Manager. I also want to connect Android-Devices, but somehow it shows "connecting..." for some time and then "not successfull" in Android settings.

Here some information about the settings on Android:
  • Name: VPN
    Type: L2TP/IPSec PSK
    Server Address: DDNS-Adress
    L2TP-Key: blank
    IPSec Identifier: blank
IPSec Pre-Shared Key: set as on server
    Username: Clientname@VPN
    Password: set as on server
Here some information about the settings on the server:
  • Virtual Hub Name: VPN
    L2TP over IPsec enabled
Raw L2TP with No Encryptions enabled
I would appreciate any help. If my post lacks information, don't hesitate to tell me what I should post.

have you found an answer? if not, use https protocol on port 443, it penetrates everywhere

do not use L2TP/IPSec PSK - this is blocked by stupidiest router everywhere

Yondu

For L2TP/IPSec to work you need to open/(port forward) UDP ports 4500 & 500 to the machine running the softether "server" software.

you said" Raw L2TP with No Encryptions enabled" I would enable the encryption options

Look at the bottom of this page for port info: https://www.softether.org/4-docs/2-howt ... VPN_Server
