SoftEther VPN Client Says it's Connected, But my I.P. Address is Still the Same.

I have a SoftEther VPN server at home, and personal laptop at school. I have a mobile hotspot but would like to use the VPN through the school internet. When I connect through my hotspot (before testing out the school internet). It says that it's connected, but my I.P. address still the same as my hotspots. free netflix tech news
