I've got users who are not using the SoftEther VPN client - rather, they are using Microsoft's and/or Apple's implementation of L2TP/IPSec VPN. For these users, the DNS and remote routes are not being updated and hence the users are reporting that VPN is not working.
Q: Without forcing the users to install the SoftEther VPN client, is there any other viable solution to this problem?
Note:
I'm using Linux and when I configured OpenVPN to connect to remote SoftEther VPN server, it too didn't add the necessary DNS and remote routes, but since I'm a systems administrator by profession, I have scripts running in /etc/network/if-up.d (I'm using Ubuntu 15.10) that modify the routing table and inject the appropriate DNS into /etc/resolv.conf. But this is obviously beyond the average user capabilities!
