Am not able to connect server from client

HI experts,
Am totally new to this Softether vpn , as per the document installed server vpn and client vpn (i.e. in another location i,e, wan).
Created a connection in client side and i can see welcome message also after connected.
But am not able to connect to server pls help me on this.
My question is the server and client should be in the same LAN or it will work with WAN also.

VPN clients cannot communicate with any server IP address that is on a physical interface that is running an L2 bridge.
To get a better answer, you should post specific details about the SoftEther configuration that you want.

You mean to say we cann't connect to the VPN server from WAN(wide area network ).?
Am using latest VPN server configuration.
Pls help me am totally confused..

Yes created ..but i dnt know it created properly or not...
how can i connect o local bridge in client location? wht is the us of local bridge..?
