Questions about IP Access Control List

Post by sdevries.otn » Fri Sep 26, 2014 3:41 pm

I just installed softether VPN and did some test setups. It is pretty awesome so far. I have a few questions for authentication.

Can you enter an DDNS rather than IP in the "IP Access Control List"?
Can the SoftEthernet VPN Client grant DDNS as well?
Is there a way to allow access only to specific device(s) on the LAN, rather than all?

I am trying to setup VPN + RDP for a few remote users as securely as possible. I do not know what their IP address is, but could setup DDNS for them. I was thinking of using self signed certificates + filtering any IP that is not the list of DDNS given to remote users. (Seems rather secure.) Is that possible through SoftEther configuration?

Additionally, I'd like to limit their access to only specific devices (their specific machine they RDP into. Is that possible through the SoftEther configuration?

Why do not you use TPM instead of IP Access Control List?
