Communication between server and clients

Post by ajrave » Tue Sep 16, 2014 6:11 pm

Hi all,

i am testing softethernet in a Windows Server 2012 with windows 7 clients (with softeth client) and Mac OS X clients ( with L2TP/IPsec) in a Remote LAN access implementation. When i connect form a client i can ping the server normally and the server answer, but when i ping the clients from the server the clients does not answers.

How can i implement Sofeth to get answer from the clients?.

Thank you for all

Did you use any personal firewall (like Windows firewall) in the clients?
Some personal firewall deny ICMP echo request.

No i do not use a personal firewall but i solved the problem. If you use Virtual NAT, you can't reach the clients or the NAT gateway from the server. I disabled Virtual NAT and i enabled DHCP service on the server, this way i can reach the clients from the server and the clients in the LAN.

Thank you for your answer.
