Reinstall on new computer - Recover prior Dynamic DNS Hostna

I had a crash on my old Win 8, 32 bit pc which hosted my softether vpn. I had a Dynamic DNS hostname that several softether clients accessed my vpn through.

When I got my new computer, which is Win 7 64 bit, and installed softether new, it would not allow me to use my old dynamic dns hostname that all my clients access my home vpn through. This is even though my ip address has not changed.

Is there any way to recover and re-use my dynamic dns hostname I used from my old, crashed install instead of having to create a new dynamic dns hostname?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Do you have previous VPN Server setting file?
If you have the setting file, you can re-use previous DDNS name.
Please copy "byte key" of "declare DDnsClient" from the previous setting file to new setting file.

Will the DDnsClient Database cleaned up after a while?
Or will a lost byte key block the (manually set) domain name forever?

Wait....I can use some old names now again. But I don't know how long you must wait. Could be 6 months....
