Server poll timeout

Post by xsneaky » Mon Mar 20, 2023 7:07 pm

Hello

I configured a softether vpn server on linux.
I have setup users on it and tested on softether vpn client with succes.
Now i have some users that want to use openvpn and when i try to connect with openvpn client i get ser poll timeout.

⏎[Mar 20, 2023, 19:55:59] Connecting to [34.90.87.xx]:1194 (34.90.87.xx) via UDPv4

}

I have port 443 and 1194 setup as listening ports.
Made a bridge from ethernet to my hub
made firewall rules that open for incomming connections on 443 and 1194.

Has anyone has this problem before? And has anyone solved it?

if
- your ISP, or
- that DateCenter hosting VMs, or
- the Hosting Company you bought a VM from
has not blocked OpenVPN protocol you should be able to connect. Ask them if you can.
It seems the client cannot connect to the SE server.

Try L2TP instead (just for testing purpose).
Also check the log of SE server.
