Is there any complete & concise guide to get the client to work under Ubuntu ??

I am a user of Ubuntu Mate 18.04.5 and have made the efforts to use SoftEther in connecting with a remote PC that runs XP SP2.

This is (hopefully...) as a replacement for OpenVPN, which is, frankly IMO - a nuisance & has been used for remote accesses to the other PCs on the small LAN there, over 100 miles from where I live.

I added a Softether server there remotely - which appears to be working just fine, but getting the Softether client to work under Ubuntu is not working for me...yet, so I cannot connect to that PC or any other via Softether yet.

The best info I found for making the connection for remote access is rather long & complicated:

Code: Select all

https://www.aspkin.com/forums/ip-address/109664-solved-softether-client-linux-tutoral.html
And some bits here seemed helpful as well:

Code: Select all

https://www.rapidvpn.com/setup-vpn-softether-ubuntu
Has anyone here gotten Softether's Linux client to connect for remote access via internet, and..
If so, might you have any really helpful pointers or education about it to share, please ??

Thanks.
