Can connect to VPN but no internet access

I have successfully setup the VPN and can join the local VPN netork but cannot browse the internet

I have a Windows Server 2012 withan ip of 172.31.22.5 GW 172.31.16.1

I have setup DHCP in Active Dorectory and the DHCP server is giving out IP addresses to VPN CLients

My question is why am I not getting internet access from the client?

What ip addresses should i be receiving from the DHCP server ?

IP address ?
Gateway?
Subnet ?

I have tried various IPs..GW 172..31.16.1 172.31.22.5 and noting seems to work.

I am not using securenat and I have setup and bridge but not sure if this is needed. All I want it to be able to browse the internet using the server IP and have all traffic routed through the VPN server.

I have been trying the for 2 days now with no luck.

Why don't you use SecureNAT?
