I just discovered the author of SoftEther wrote his own version of WinPcap called WinPcap10 or something like that. Installed it today--neat.

Anywho, I think you are having a firewall issue. Try turning firewall off first.

Please do Ad-hoc VPN.
You don't need to use SecureNAT or localbridge.
