Need Instruction to set up for first time

Hello,
I have a Mac OSX with Sequoia and an M1 Apple chip. I am looking to set up a server on an external drive. I have downloaded the server software but need help to get started. How do I install the server?

There is no SE server software for M1.

VMware Fusion is a software hypervisor developed by VMware for macOS systems. It allows Macs with Intel or the Apple M series of chips to run virtual machines with guest operating systems, such as Microsoft Windows, Linux, or macOS, within the host macOS operating system.

Install Windows/Linux SE server in it.
