No DNS

Hi
I have setup Softether VPN on a Windows server behind a Pfsense firewall, and everything is almost working.
There are no problems in connecting to the VPN, but the clients have to connect and disconnect 3 to 4 times before the DNS is working, if they connect and the dns is not working they can disconnect and connect again 3-4 times and then the DNS starts to work.
I am using radius to authenticate useres and the user is getting an IP through our DHCP server.

any ideas of what there could be wrong.

Do you also allocate a DNS server address via DHCP ?

Are these servers on your lan or are they for trundling around the internet? If it's for internet users then as solo mentioned, have you tried using 1.1.1.1?

I think I have solved the problem, there was a couple of things that was not right.
I got this case from the former it guy, on the DHCP he had added 8.8.8.8 before the 2 local DNS server also he had installed Tailscale on the DNS server so when the client was trying reach the DNS server they where trying on the IP for Tailscale on that.

Hope this make sense, it is working now and I will keep and eye on it.
