How to get Ipv4 on client, I only get ipv6

How to get Ipv4 on client, I only get ipv6

Hi, I'm new in VPN. I create a vpn server in google cloud (Ubuntu 16). I install softether client on my local machine(Ubuntu16).
But i get ipv6 instead of ipv4, how to get ipv4? Thank you.

How are you connecting to your vpn server? via IPv4 or IPv6?
I'm having the opposite problem, I can't get IPv6 on the clients at all...only IPv4.

To auto assign and IP DHCP client needs,
sudo dhclient <vpn_adapter>

where <vpn_adapter> is the name of adapter you created and used for the connection.

or simple
sudo dhclient
