mac osx, individual certificate authentication

Post by laurikin » Tue Jun 05, 2018 1:36 pm

Has anyone had success connecting to SoftEther VPN server from Mac osx using individual certificate authentication with the built-in VPN client?
I've spent the whole day trying. I've created all kinds of certificates in the Server Manager, added them to my System KeyChain but nothing seems to work. Should this be possible or should I give up?

This is the message I get when trying to connect:
'You were disconnected by the communication device. Try reconnecting. If the problem continues, verify your settings.'

Edit: It works just fine using password authentication

Same problem for our organisation. We are using password authentication and IP address whitelisting, but this is not a viable long-term solution for us. Please, anyone??!!!

Cert auth can't be used with SoftEther VPN server and built-in VPN client.
SoftEther VPN Server doesn't support cert auth with L2TP/IPSec.
