Data routing through softether. How does it happen?

I need to know what settings are applied to both the primary Internet Connection and the vpn client created by Softether Client? Take a look at the attached picture. This is the details of the vpn client and the primary Internet connection.
Can anyone tell me what path a packet travels from the client to the server? Is a packet first routed through the vpn connection, then through the primary Internet connection all the way to the vpn server? or is it first routed through the primary connection?

There isn't default gateway on physical NIC.
So, packets to Internet go to virtual NIC.
