Multiple interfaces / mixing nat and bridged

Post by PhilB » Sun Jan 03, 2016 2:04 am

Hi

Is it possible to have one SoftEther server do either:

NAT access to multiple destination interfaces using the appropriate destination interface IP as the source-ip of NATed traffic (right now it seems it just uses the first IP address for NAT regardless of the destination interface)

or

Mix NAT for non-directly-connected (read: Internet) access and (one or more) bridged interfaces that are directly connected to the VPN server

for extra bonus points, is it possible to configure the IP that SoftEther will use for SecureNAT for a given Hub?

Did you try to use static route pushing?

Static route pushing wouldn't solve the problem I don't think - I needed the server to NAT out of two different interfaces, I don't see how static route pushing would help given all the traffic was already going to the VPN server.

I ended up having to work around this another way, but if I come back to it I'll give the iptables route a try.

Try to use usermode secureNAT.
Usermode SecureNAT uses routing table of the OS.
