VPN leak

Good morning and sorry for my poor english...

I'm testing SoftEtherVPN, and I'm in trouble.
The program seems to be good, but I have a problem...

If a connection trough a proxy fall (often the servers close connection), SoftEther doesn't stop all the connections, but still continue the job via provider (direct connection) loosing anonymity.
Is possible set SoftEther to avoid this? (if a proxy stop routing, stop ALL the connection to the computer).

Thanks.

Good morning.

I would know if there is a way to manual set a browser to use with SoftEther Client (I know it isn't necessary since SE redirect the whole traffic).

Es. 127.0.0.1:80

I wold know it to FORCE the browser to use only the SE connection instead of ISP in case of broken proxy connection.

Thanks.

Please delete default gateway of ISP after connecting to the VPN server.

I have the same doubt and I've followed your suggestion.
When I change the ISP gateway settings the connection to the ISP goes down.
What is wrong?

Thank you.

Hi,

i dont understand why you still using proxy for anonymity while you use softether? it should be all traffic route to VPN server rather then a proxy.
If the connection route to proxy why do you use softether vpn?

If connection goes down when ISP's default gateway is deleted, add route to proxy (or VPN server) manually to maintain route.

As Kedikife, I presume, I have the same problem (and also you!).

For diktus:
When SE is connected, everything is OK, but if the server disconnect, (and SE is still running) the traffic continue loosing privacy.

For cedar:
Could you explain batter please? (I'm novice).

I have to setting TCP/IP v4 to obtein manual IP address.
After connected SE I should delete the gateway of ISP, and then add the address of the proxy server???

To cedar:

I've followed your suggestion.
Configured the connection manually, connected with SEVPN then substitute the gateway with the IP of the proxy connected.
Saving the new configuration the system show a message of error.
Reopening the windows the gateway is empty AND THE CONNECTION REMAIN STABLE.

BUT DISCONNECTING FROM PROXY, THE CONNECTION WITH MY ISP CONTINUE WORKING LOOSING PRIVACY.

What proxy type do you use? Http proxy?

I think better you use manually proxy on browser. so the connection will like this

ISP --> SE --> Proxy via browser

"What proxy type do you use? Http proxy?"

I use the SEVPN proxy. They should be Socks5...

"I think better you use manually proxy on browser. so the connection will like this"

In this way I could use only programs that allow proxy settings.
SE proxies the full system.

The goal of this post is to avoid VPN leaks if SE proxy disconnect...
Do you know a way???

SOMEONE WHO KNOWS THE DEVELOPERS OF SOFTETHER COULD ASKE THEM TO ADD THE FEATURE OF "BLOCK INTERNET TRAFFIC IF PROXY DISCONNECT" LIKE IN THE PROFESSIONAL PROXY SERVICES???

PLEASE.

Do not post in capitals in a forum as it's considered SHOUTING and isn't acceptable.

These are community support forums manned by volunteers, if you wish to have a feature added or modified in the product then I'd suggest you go to github for this project and file an 'issues' with details of what you want.

The details of the source repository are on the downloads page but here's the direct link: https://github.com/SoftEtherVPN/SoftEtherVPN

Posts in all capitals do not add relevance and they'll usually be ignored and the fact you only done it once is once too many.

I've gone to github/issues but I haven't found a button Add New Issues.

I can only read new issues.

Have I to login? The registration is the seme to the forum? After signed appear a button Add feature?
