Build 9582 and secureNAT.

In the pinned "before you post" post, this adice is given:
7. Are you using SecureNAT?
(If so, why don't you use the Local Bridge function instead?
The performance of SecureNAT is lower than Local Bridge, and it consumes
much of CPU time. You should not use SecureNAT except very limited situation.)

I notice that the changelog for build 9582, issues with secureNAT have been addressed. I am wondering if the above advice still applies?

I have been unable to get the vpnserver working on AWS in bridge mode at all and need to resort to using secureNAT.

I fixed this by using:

checkinstall --exclude /proc/sys/kernel/threads-max -D make install

I'd very much like to know if I needed this file and what it's for if somebody can advise me.
