How to connect VPNAzure from a linux softether client

Post by chengdi123000 » Sat Dec 05, 2015 1:26 pm

I have 3 questions:

1. How to turn on "Remote Access to VPN server" in linux ?
In the webpage http://www.vpnazure.net/en/, the first step is to turn on "Remote Access to VPN server". But I cannot turn it on in LINUX shell, I have to use a client manager in windows to connect to the vpn server to activate it.
2. I cannot connect my VPNAzure server using linux client?
I cannot use linux client to connect to the the VPN server. But I can use SSTP of win7 to connect to the VPN Azure server.
3. I can connect to VPNAzure server in WIN7 via SSTP, but I cannot access the server using SSH. How can I solve this problem?

-------------------configuration-------------------
softether server:
1. OS
Linux x64
2. ifconfig -a
eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr D4:3D:7E:72:79:7E
inet addr:192.168.100.100 Bcast:192.168.100.255 Mask:255.255.255.0

Ifconfig uses the ioctl access method to get the full address information, which limits hardware addresses to 8 bytes.
Because Infiniband address has 20 bytes, only the first 8 bytes are displayed correctly.
Ifconfig is obsolete! For replacement check ip.

5. Which SoftEther VPN component are you using?
softether vpn server without root privilege and VPN Azure
6. Whether or not there is a NAT or Firewall between your VPN server and the Internet.
There is a Firewall, but I cannot access the router and firewall. So I used the vpn azure.
7. Are you using SecureNAT?
I do not understand what is SecureNAT.
8. I just follow the instructions in http://www.vpnazure.net/en/

Re: How to connect VPNAzure from a linux softether client

Post by chengdi123000 » Sat Dec 05, 2015 2:56 pm

I just found that port 443 should be set to connect to the vpn server.

However, I can only get a NIC with IPV6 address. While my server's IP in the vpn is 192.168.30.1, which I cannot connect via SSH or PING.

How can I set the IPV4 address?

ifconfig -a ######################################

You can configure IP address by ifconfig or using DHCP.
