Set VPN Client Connection Timeout ?

Post by elborneo » Fri Oct 18, 2013 8:47 am

Hi all..
Just want to know, is there any way to set connection timeout in vpn client manager?
especially when http proxy is enabled.

There is no problem when i use openvpn client,
i can set the client config like this

http-proxy 127.0.0.1 8889
http-proxy-retry
http-proxy-timeout 120

but in vpn client manager i still can't figure it out how to set this up.

Thnks

can't be..

my network behind firewall, using http proxy is required
it takes couple seconds (sometimes minutes) to make first initial connection
and get http proxy response ("HTTP/1.0 200 Connection established").
But after connection established to the vpn server, tunneling speed comes normal

vpn client manager too quick closing the connection before i get connection established response from http proxy..

too bad :(

i'm using http proxy to connect to vpn server.
however it takes a while before connection to vpn server established..
badly vpn client immediately show error code 18, and ask for retry
i think vpn client treat it as an invalid http proxy..
which is actually happens is http proxy still running and trying to connect to vpn server

actually this http proxy running in localhost, i wrote it my self with java
this proxy help me to gain full speed without any $$ charge through my 3g provider
talking about slow responds, it depends on 3g provider connection and how many users per BTS tower provider currently connected.
sometimes (after midnight) vpnclient can works as well without any ask for retry (error code 18)
