If you could give your browser name and version as well? Also, is the game update taking place within the game client's updater, or by your browsing?

Furthermore, since you are on Windows 7, if the game update is taking place within the game client's standalone updater, it may be using the IE engine of whichever version of IE you have installed on your machine for internet access. So I also need to know what version of IE you have installed on the system?

Have you also tried going to the command prompt and doing ipconfig /flushdns?
